Kompakt tubular block media consist of polyethylene tubes heat welded together to create a rectangular block. The 3-dimensional openness of Kompakt allows for complete mixing of the liquid in the reactor, improving treatment efficiency. Kompakt is designed for use in submerged fixed beds, but existing activated sludge aeration basins can be retrofitted with Kompakt to increase treatment capacity.
